posted on June 27, 2012
There are over 35 bets that can be placed while playing craps. Don't be discouraged, you can play online craps by using the basic bets used in online craps. These bets are Pass Line bets, don't pass line bets, Come bets, and don't come bets. These bets are the most fundamental of all craps bets made and will carry a player through while playing online craps. Craps bets can be intimidating to people who are not familiar to the online gambling. By using these four basic craps bets, the game is simplified and more user friendly for a novice player. Many players choose to play free play version before playing any casino game for money. This is a good practice to observe for new players regardless of their preferred game being online slots or online craps.
Pass Line Bets
A Pass Line bet is made on the come out roll. The object of this bet is to bet on the player who is rolling the dice and that he/she will roll a 7 or 11. If the roll produces a 7 or 11, you win. If the player who is rolling rolls any of these numbers, 2, 3, or 12, you will lose the bet. The PASS LINE bet is a even money bet. This means if you bet $5 and win, you will win the initial $5 plus an additional $5. Many players choose to bet on the Pass Line bets.
Don't Pass Line Bets
The Don't Pass Line bet is made opposite of the Pass Line Bet. The object of this bet is to bet that the player who is rolling the dice will roll a 2 or 3. If the player who is rolling rolls a 2 or 3 on the come out roll, you win the bet. If the player who is rolling the dice rolls a 7 or 11 you will lose the bet. If the player rolls a 12, this is called a push or tie. The player rolling the dice will continue to roll the dice until a point or 7 is rolled. If the player rolls a 7 before he/she rolls a point, you will win the bet. Many players choose not to use this bet due to betting against the player who is rolling the dice. By using this bet, you will be winning while other players are losing. However, while other players will win, you will be the one losing.
This bet is almost exactly like the Pass Line bet but can be placed at any time during the game. Many players prefer this bet due to the ability to have more numbers to work with, a total of six.
Don't Come Bet
This bet is exactly like the Don't Pass bet. If the player who is rolling rolls a 2 or 3, you will win the bet. If the player who is rolling rolls a 7 or 11, you will lose the bet. If the player who is rolling rolls a 12, this is a tie. If the roller lands any other number, that number will become the "come points". Now that you have the basics, enjoy online craps.
