In the Jacks Or Better Progressive the player must have at least a pair of jacks to win. The ranking of hands is the same as that given in the standard poker hand rankings. Only the best five cards are used to determine the winning hand, hands of lower value than a pair of jacks do not win.
A full deck of 52 cards is used and no variant hands are added. The cards rank: A (high), K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2. Ace also ranks low in the sequence 5-4-3-2-A (a low straight).
The ranking of hands in the Jacks Or Better Progressive is as follows. To see the payoffs look at the payoff chart.
A-K-Q-J-10, all of the same suit.
Five cards in a sequence in the same suit (e.g. 10,9,8,7,6 of Clubs).
Any four cards of the same rank (e.g. A,A,A,A,Q).
Three of a kind and a pair (e.g. 5,5,2,2,2).
Five cards, in any order, of the same suit (e.g. A,J,8,4,2 of Hearts).
Five cards in a sequence, but not in the same suit (e.g. Q,J,10,9,8).
Three cards of the same rank and two unmatched cards (e.g. K,6,6,6,4).
Two cards of any one rank and two cards of another with an unmatched card (e.g. 9,9,3,2,2).
Two cards of any rank and three unmatched cards (e.g. K,K,9,3,2).
Please note that all Slotland games which share the Progressive Jackpot also employ the same mechanism that determines the jackpot win. Therefore, the probability of hitting the jackpot combination on Jacks Or Better Progressive when playing for maximum bet is not natural but controlled by this shared random mechanism in the same way as slot machines' wins.Back
